• Free & Reduced Lunch Application image

    April 21, 2022

    Dear Parent or Guardian:

Since the start of the pandemic, we have been proud to serve all students breakfast and lunch at no cost regardless of the family income. While we are currently awaiting final guidance from the USDA, it is likely free meals will end prior to the start of the 2022-2023 school year.

Based on the assumption that the District will need to charge for meals, starting August 22.

So, we are asking families to submit a 2021-2022 SY Free & Reduced Meal Application before May 26th, and a 2022-2023 application again in August, to ensure your student has a 30-day carryover status into the new school year. Doing it twice eliminates gaps between school years.

Applications are completely confidential and will not be shared.

Did you know that the school meal applications are used for so much more than just certifying students for free or reduced-priced meals? Filling out an application can help you and our schools in the following ways:

    School Funding

    • May provide additional funding for state and federal programs and services at our schools.
      • A couple programs that may be affected are all-day kindergarten and the Fruit and Veggie Snack Program grant.
    • Internet Access
    • May qualify your family for discounted rates on home internet services.

    Academic Perks

    • May qualify you for reduced registration fees for AP, SAT, and/or ACT tests. May also qualify you for discounted rates associated with college admissions.
    • Every eligible form counts and adds valuable resources to our schools.

    It’s Easy to Apply

    • It’s easy! Completing an application takes less than 10 minutes and you only need to complete one application per family.
    • Complete an application online in the Infinite Campus portal. The application is also attached, or you may pick up a paper copy at your school. Contact your school secretary if you don’t have access to the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus.
    • Applications for the end of this school year must be submitted to your school office by Monday, May 26th.
    • Applications are completely confidential and will not be shared. Since your family's financial situation may change from year to year, you must fill out a new application each school year.
    • 2022-2023 applications will be available July 1 for the new school year and will be due in August or early September to avoid a gap in free/reduced meals.

By submitting your application, you and other families as well as the schools can access these key benefits.
