    Emmett High School will prepare all students for individual success




    FFA- all Freshmen attending tomorrows FFA competition, please come see Mrs. Heikes after announcements.

    Seniors who completed their Senior Project over the summer will not have to attend school on Friday, December 13th. Administration has allowed you this day off to reward you for your awesome accomplishment. Seniors who are presenting on December 13th will need to attend first period and then be able to leave after presentations are over. The staff at EHS could not be more proud of the class of 2020! :) 

    Fantasy Games Club- meeting on Wednesday, December 11th at lunch in room 208. Don’t forget if you signed up don’t miss this meeting!

    ASL- meeting on Thursday, Dec. 12th at lunch in room 208. Remember to bring snacks!!


    CWI- will be here for a lunch visit on Friday, Dec. 13th.


    Door Decorating Contest- from Dec. 10th-16th the hallway door decorating competition will be going on. Wrapping paper will be delivered to each advisory. The wrapping paper must be incorporated in the decorating of the door. Judging will take place Dec. 16th-17th and the winning advisory will receive a donut party on Dec. 19th!!

    Christmas Gift bags- the sophomore class is selling Christmas gift bags in the atrium at lunch until Dec. 17th. They are $3 and will be delivered on Dec. 20th. Send some Christmas cheer to someone!

    Christmas Ornaments- the Ag department will be selling Huskie Christmas ornaments, starting Thursday, Dec. 12th in M4. They will be 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. Purchase an ornament and add some Huskie Spirit to your Christmas!!

    Senior Projects- Attention all Seniors who are presenting their Senior Projects this Friday: The presentation schedule has been posted on Mrs. Bowden’s, Mrs. Parks’, and the library doors. Please make sure to check the schedule and let Mrs. Bowden know if your name is missing from the list. 

    IDLA Early Fall Finals- are Monday, December 16th at 2:50 in room 112. Have all of your work turned in by Sunday December 15th.

    Friday Night School this week in room 309. Sign up on Ms. Watkins door.

    Cheer Basket Food Drive- has begun! We will be collecting canned and boxed food (no perishables) for our cheer baskets that will be delivered December 18. Our goal this year is to "FILL THE DOMES" and collect 3000 items. If we meet our goal, we will have a long lunch on December 20.  That means if everyone brings 4-5 items we will meet and exceed our goal. A box will be designated in every classroom so you may deposit your goods in any room. Thanks for caring and sharing!

    The Soda Corner (formerly Brewed Awakening) is open Wednesdays - Fridays in M3 (before school and at lunch). 

    Smart TV- the Junior Class is raffling off a 55 inch Samsung Smart TV valued at $1,200. Tickets are $10 each and the date of the drawing is Dec. 18th. Contact a Junior Class officer if you are interested in purchasing a raffle ticket!

    Win a Kayak- Ready for Summer to be here so that you can go fishing or paddling? Well then buy a $5.00 ticket from Mrs. Smith or any EHS Drama student for a chance to win! Kayak will be given away to the lucky winner on Dec. 18th.

    IDLA 2nd Trimester courses- 2nd Semester course brochures are available. Great way to get ahead for core courses and electives. There are a lot of great courses to choose from. Start date for the Early Spring courses is January 13, 2020 and Late Spring is January 27, 2020.

    3rd Trimester courses start on March 2, 2020.



     Here are the results from our tournament. Our kids compete in a very hard district tournament, and to qualify to go on, one must beat out  all the 5A, 4A, 3A, and 2A individuals. We tied with Ridgeview for first in districts and headed to state with the most entries I have ever had in my ten years of being the coach. We took 16 entries to state, 11 entries made it to the semifinals and 6 entries made it to finals.  The 6 entries that made it to finals means that they are they or their group are the top 8 entries in the entire state. Of those who made it to finals, the following students won medals.

    ID GRAD- Dec. 15th is the Order deadline to place orders. Cap and Gowns will be delivered to EHS in May and distributed then. Payment plans are available for Grad Packages. All orders must be paid in full before March 1, 2020 or a $20 fee will be added.

    Order Packets were handed out for cap, gown, tassel, Senior products, Letter Jackets, and class rings. There was a pricing mistake on the order form and new forms are available in the office. You can also order online at www.idgrad.com

    When you go to the website go to the  GRADUATION  tab at the top of the page. Scroll to the Emmett High School icon. It will then give you 3 graduation package options. You are only required to have a cap, gown, and tassel for graduation. If you do not want to order the extra add on's click on one of the packages. Under the name of the package there is a “Click here  if you are not interested in a Grad Pack link". This will take you to just the cap, gown, and tassel (the stole is already on the gown). Choose your school and enter all of your information.  Please feel free to call them directly at (208) 941-1602 if you have any further questions.


    Senior Picture Deadline- If you want to submit a Senior Picture to the yearbook in addition to your tux or drape picture they are due to the yearbook by Dec. 18th. Submit to emmetthsyearbook@gmail.com. There will not be an extension to this deadline, so don't wait!!

    Just a reminder that if you are going to college in Idaho you can apply for scholarships.  The State Board of Education is using a new platform and you will need to create a new account and update your information when you apply.  Link is below.

    If you need your EDUID# please call the counseling office at 208-365-6323 and we will give it to you over the phone.  It is like a social security number for education and we can't email it to you.  This number is different than your old lunch number.

    If you are going to CWI, CSI or NIC you need to fill out this form, with any additional documents requested, and send it to the Gem County Courthouse. Certificate of Residency Form
