BIO:  I graduated Magna Cum Laude from BYU-Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Communications and minors in Graphic Design and Marketing. Over the years I've founded and managed successful businesses in marketing healthcare, and property management, and played a key role in launching a family medicine clinic here in Emmett.

I grew up in Texas and found my home in Idaho while attending college, where I met my husband, Jon. Together, we chose to settle in Jon's hometown of Emmett, where we are raising our six children and building strong roots through small business ownership, volunteering, and community leadership.

BIO:  I am very excited to be a part of this team. Before accepting the Accounts Payable position, I worked for ESD as a Business Support/Attendance Specialist and at Valor Health as a Specialist Clinic Coordinator. I am married with a son and a stepdaughter, they are both 8. I love baking, baking shows, long walks, and planning art projects with my kids or any kind of project with my family. Being a mom and wife is the greatest blessing God gave me.

BIO: I’m proud to be part of the Emmett School District team, especially since Emmett has been my home for most of my life. I attended Emmett schools from second grade through high school, and now my two wonderful daughters are students here as well. Being their mom is the greatest joy in my life.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors—camping, fishing, boating, and traveling are some of my favorite activities. I also have a love for collecting plants, crystals, and unique teapots.

Joanne Sullivan

Data, Reporting & Testing Coordinator

BIO:  I’m new to the education world, having started with the District Office in July, 2023. My background is in administrative support, hospitality, and (believe it or not) retail.

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband, Mike, since 2010. We met when we were both working in Yellowstone National Park, and I told him that he was the best souvenir I’ve ever brought home from there. We’ve been back in Emmett since 2012. In July, 2023, we became pet parents to a mischievous black lab puppy named Bailey. She’s a love bug and keeps us on our toes.

When I’m not working, or puppy training, I love to hike, bicycle, and bake.

Angela Ramos

ELL~Migrant Coordinator 

BIO:  I bring over 20 years of experience supporting multilingual learners across all grade levels. I’ve taught English language development, worked with newcomer groups, co-taught in general education classrooms, and led program coordination—all with a strong focus on student success.

I hold a Master’s in TESOL, a Bachelor’s in Spanish, and a graduate-level licensure in education. As a bilingual Spanish-English speaker, I’m passionate about inclusive education and empowering multilingual students and their families.

What makes this especially meaningful is that I’m returning to my hometown to serve the community that shaped who I am today.

BIO:  I am a wife and mother of 4 children who all attend schools in the Emmett School District. I was born and raised in Glenns Ferry, Idaho. After getting married, my husband and I had the opportunity to live in many different states as he worked in construction management. 5 years ago we decided it was time to come back to Idaho and raise our family here. We love Emmett! I have been working for the Emmett School District for 3 years. I love going on bike rides, walks, jogs, playing card & board games with my family, and visiting family and friends.

BIO:  I'm excited to take on the new role with the ESD in the payroll department.  My hometown has been in Emmett since I was in middle school and truly love where I live and the people I have gotten to know. I have been happily married since 2008 to a good man and have two awesome boys. My family has my whole heart and they keep me laughing and smiling every day. Looking forward to what this year brings.

Ramey Uriarte

Curriculum & Instruction Coordinator

BIO:  I began my career as a middle and high school math teacher in the Meridian School District, later serving as department chair and mentor to new teachers. Since then, I’ve led professional development in Meridian and Boise School Districts and most recently worked as a Regional Math Specialist at Boise State University, where I also coordinated graduate programs in mathematics instruction and curriculum leadership.

I’m passionate about empowering educators to meet the diverse needs of all learners and supporting high-quality instruction. I hold an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boise State and a Master’s in Athletic Administration from Idaho State. I was honored to receive the 2013 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching and was named Teacher of the Year at Heritage Middle School in 2014.

My wife Paula and I have three adult children.

Rich Winegar

Director of Online Learning

BIO:  As a University of Idaho Graduate I started my career in 2000 as a Spanish and Math Teacher at Emmett Middle School. I have spent the last 25 years in a variety of roles here in the Emmett School district including High School Spanish, middle school assistant principal and principal, and a 2nd stint teaching Spanish, Math, and ELL at EHS. I have also served as president and treasurer of the Idaho Association of Teachers of Language and Culture. I enjoy a new challenge and look forward to growing the Virtual Prep Academy of Idaho.

When I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife, amazing children, and precious grandchildren. I enjoy spending most of my free time in the great outdoors. I love to hike, garden, cycle, roller blade, and explore every nook and cranny of Idaho.
