Robert (Bob) Teeter was selected as the Emmett Independent School District Trustee to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Michelle Davelaar. Mr. Teeter will complete the remainder of her term which ends January 1, 2020.
The Board opened the position and four candidates applied. The candidates were Lynn Atzet, Larissa Kimball, Annett Smith, and Bob Teeter. Interviews were held at a special meeting on Thursday, May 3rd where Mr. Teeter was selected. The Board expressed their appreciation for the quality of the candidates and their desire to be involved in the School District.
Mr. Teeter was raised in Gem County and attended grade school at Hanna Elementary and graduated from Emmett High School in 1963. He attended the University of Idaho where he received a degree in Political Science in 1968.
Mr. Teeter’s career involved positions with various insurance companies for approximately 40 years specializing in property and casualty claims adjusting. After retiring in 2007, he moved back to Gem County. In his interview, he expressed his desire to give back to the Emmett community.
